If you were previously a Target Clinic guest, your clinic has changed to MinuteClinic®. You do not need to do anything. Target and MinuteClinic® have taken or will take care of everything for you at your first MinuteClinic® visit. Your recent medical file will be available for the provider to access, and MinuteClinic® Patient Support can help with questions regarding your medical file 1-866-389-ASAP (2727). If you are currently a MinuteClinic® patient, after the Target Clinic near you has transitioned, you will be able to visit a MinuteClinic® inside a Target store if that is more convenient for you
MinuteClinic® accepts most insurance plans and is continually adding new plans. Insurance plans and medical coverage can vary. We recommend contacting your health plan to confirm coverage. The phone number is usually on the back of your insurance card. Let them know you are seeking medical care at MinuteClinic® and they should be able to confirm if your service will be covered, advise you of any co-pays, co-insurance or deductible costs.

MinuteClinic® is staffed by certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants* who provide care for a variety of common medical conditions and prescribe medication when medically appropriate. MinuteClinic® providers can also administer vaccinations, perform select physicals and provide other wellness services.
Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with advanced training, experience and education. Physician assistants are health-care professionals licensed to practice medicine under a collaborative agreement with a physician.
Each and every MinuteClinic® provider follows nationally established guidelines to ensure that you get the highest level of care. As a patient, you can be confident that your treatment is based on the most current medical research and best practices.

MinuteClinic® offers many of the same services that were previously available at the Target Clinic as well as services that were not available at the Target Clinic.
MinuteClinic® providers can:
• Diagnose, treat and write prescriptions when medically appropriate for common family illnesses such as strep throat, bladder infections, pink eye, and infections of the ears, nose and throat
• Provide common vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, pertussis and hepatitis, among others
• Treat minor wounds, abrasions, joint sprains, and skin conditions such as poison ivy, ringworm, lice and acne
• Provide a wide range of wellness services, including sports and camp physicals, health screenings, TB testing, a weight loss program and the Start to Stop® smoking cessation program
• Offer routine lab tests, instant results and education for those with diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Yes. MinuteClinic® wants to make sure your primary care provider has information about your visit. MinuteClinic® providers will provide you with a summary of your visit and can also send a copy to your primary care provider with your permission.
If you don't have a primary care provider, MinuteClinic® providers can provide a list of local primary care practices accepting new patients

No, you can fill your prescription at your preferred pharmacy
You can use your REDcard Target Credit Card as payment at MinuteClinic®, but we do not accept cartwheel or gift cards as methods of payment. You can confirm the acceptance of your REDcard Target Credit Card by validating there is a Visa® of MastercCard® logo located on the card.
MinuteClinic® accepts most insurance and many methods of cash pay including cash, checks or credit cards
At MinuteClinic® we use a kiosk to sign in for a visit. The former Target Clinics will be transitioning from iPads to kiosks.
Please note that the kiosk will stop accepting new sign-ins if the amount of time calculated to treat the patients who have signed in extends past the clinic closing time
