Over 500,000 people live in Tucson, but the city may seem even more crowded due to the numerous travelers who venture to the city every year. After exiting Tucson International Airport, these tourists will find our CVS Pharmacy® just down West Valencia Road. It has all the products you have come to expect, such as personal care products, makeup, cold medicine and various other odds and ends you may need around the house. However, this pharmacy also has a MinuteClinic® staffed by trained practitioners that can provide many of the same services you get at a doctor’s office.
What services are available?
Our MinuteClinic® cannot handle major injuries, but when you come down with a minor illness, you should pay us a visit. There is no need to visit the emergency room when our family nurse practitioners and physician assistants are more than capable of treating an array of ailments. You may even receive a prescription. Some of the conditions our team has handled before include:
- Allergies
- Mono
- Pink eye
- Mono
- Sinus infection
- Zika
- Bronchitis
- Bladder infection
Any injuries you sustain can also be looked at by our staff. Even if you have a first aid kit of your own, you should still get a small wound looked at to ensure it does not develop into something worse. Our practitioners can handle bug bites, splinters, minor burns and blisters.
This is only the beginning. When you have concerns about your skin, including lice with children, you can come over to see if you even need to visit a dermatologist. We also offer preventive services, including various screenings and monitorings, to ensure your blood pressure and cholesterol levels do not get into dangerous areas. You should also stop by if you plan on traveling out of the country soon for a comprehensive exam.
Can you get vaccinated?
Many immunizations are offered here. Kids and adults alike can receive shots for meningitis, pneumonia, polio and more. It is recommended to bring everyone in your family here at least once annually for flu shots.

After requesting an appointment and paying a nominal fee, you will talk with an actual practitioner. You can discuss the symptoms you have experienced, and the healthcare provider will recommend the best course of action. You can even get a prescription over the phone to pick up at the pharmacy nearest you.
How can you get started?
You can walk in whenever it is convenient for you. We also welcome people who make appointments ahead of time by calling us at 1-866-389-2727.
