Turtle Creek COVID-19 Testing
CVS Health COVID-19 Testing Site - By Appointment Only
COVID Test at 237 Monroeville Avenue Turtle Creek, PA 15145
CVS Health is offering lab testing for COVID-19 - limited appointments now available to patients who qualify
How is my sample for testing collected?
You will be given a swab and asked to collect a sample of nasal secretions. This is done by inserting the swab approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (midway) with the more visible drainage or the nostril that is more congested if drainage is not present. The swab is rotated several times and removed gently, and this process is repeated on the other side. Please note that you must administer your own swab to test. Testing-site colleagues do not administer the self-swab test.
If there is no location near me, how can I get tested?
No‐cost drive‐thru testing is available at select CVS Pharmacy locations. See if there is a testing location near you. If there is not a location near you, we recommend contacting your primary care provider or your state's Department of Health to find out how to get tested in your state.
What information do I need to provide to get tested?
You are required to provide, at a minimum, your first name, last name, date of birth, address, phone number, race and ethnicity.
Registration and Scheduling
- Do I need an appointment?
- Yes, all tests must be scheduled. Every individual who wants a test must make an appointment online.
- How far in advance can I schedule?
- Appointments can be made for the same day and up to thirteen days in advance (depending on availability).
- If I need help using the drive-thru or accessing testing services, what should I do?
- To request an accommodation, contact the pharmacy where you made your appointment. You can also review MinuteClinic’s accessibility resources.
Cost and Payment
- Does health insurance cover COVID-19 testing?
- Health insurance does not cover COVID-19 tests taken at CVS Pharmacy® drive-thru locations.
- Health insurance is accepted for tests with provider visits at MinuteClinic® locations. If you plan to use health insurance for your visit, you must bring your insurance card to your test. You may have out-of-pocket costs as determined by your health plan.
- What is the cost of a COVID-19 test without insurance?
- The fee for the test is $69.99. Any additional cost due to lab delays or other unforeseen circumstances are the sole responsibility of the patient or guarantor, not CVS Pharmacy®.
- Are no-cost tests available?
- A limited number of MinuteClinic® locations offer no-cost testing, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. If there's a no-cost testing site near your search location, it will be marked in your search results.
Taking the test
- What type of test is performed?
- MinuteClinic and CVS Pharmacy locations use rapid antigen COVID-19 tests to check for active infection.
- Wondering if you've been infected with COVID-19 in the past? MinuteClinic now offers COVID-19 antibody testing. This is a rapid test done through a finger stick blood sample that can detect the presence of COVID-19 antibodies in your bloodstream.
- Can I bring someone with me or should I come alone?
- We understand that you may need to bring someone with you; however, only patients who have qualified and scheduled a visit online can be tested.
- How old can a patient be to get a COVID-19 test?
- Patients must be 3 years of age or older for COVID-19 testing. A parent or legal guardian must complete registration for all minor patients (Nebraska: a minor is anyone under age 19). Patients 3-15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who may need to assist with sample collection using the swab.

- One option is to save your results to your phone.
- Another is to view them on your health dashboard. You can access the health dashboard
by signing in with your CVS.com® account.
- What is the health dashboard?
- The health dashboard
is a place where you can access your health records including COVID-19 test results and vaccination cards. You can also type in your symptoms and let us guide you to the right care options.
- What about my child's results?
- We'll email you a secure link to their results — which you can access for 5 days. You can also save their results to your phone.
- Right now, we cannot create a CVS.com® account for minors. The best way is to save their results.
- If I test positive for COVID-19, what treatment options are available through MinuteClinic and CVS Pharmacy?
- If you test positive, providers at select MinuteClinic and CVS Pharmacy locations may be able to prescribe you antiviral medication. Your eligibility depends on certain medical criteria related to:
-
- When your symptoms started
- Your age
- Your medical history
- Your likelihood of developing severe COVID-19
- If you meet the criteria, we may call you to discuss if you should take this medication. We'll review your medical history, your current medications and any medication allergies. You cannot take this medication if you're pregnant. You can also contact your primary health care provider about this medication or other treatment options.
