They tested me just for strep, and when it came back negative, sent me on my way. I was convinced there was an issue and it wasn't just a common cold so I went elsewhere and they tested me for mono, which I have.

The nurse was great but CVS told me to check in at the CVS pharmacy counter. I did and was told I needed to go to the MC counter. … very confusing and it made me late for the MC appointment but she got me in anyway.

The visit itself was great. But scheduling is ridiculous. I'm rarely able to get same day, or even next day. Kinda defeats the point of the minute clinic model.

Signed up for Covid-19 and as an afterthought the flu vaccine. Arrived for my appointment and found out Covid vaccine was not available.

My workplace required me to get a TB skin test. For this type of test it is necessary to return to have it checked by the nurse within 72 hours. I scheduled my second visit during the first visit but then to my suprise I get a text a day earlier than my appointment (a public holiday, CVS clinic was actually closed) telling me I missed my appointment. CVS messed up my appointment date and there is no way to correct it. There is no way to call the clinic or try to figure out how to reschedule. The website requires a code so that too was not an option. The 1-800 number for Minute clinic tried to help me but were also stumped and said I could just show up and try to get in. So terrible that you cannot contact the actual clinic! By now, all appointments were booked and I had to scramble to find a time slot. It was really stressful and if I missed the 72 hour window, I would have to go through the entire two-step process all over. Its one thing that they messed up the schedule and canceled me as a 'no show' on a date that they were actually closed, but another to not have any path of recourse for me to fix it.

What is the difference between Strep Throat and a Sore Throat?

Having a sore throat and having strep throat are two separate things. Strep throat is an illness while having a sore throat may just be the cause of a virus. Some signs of strep throat may include escalated throat pain without a cough, swollen or red tonsils sometimes containing pus, pain when swallowing, fever, rash, nausea, dark red spots on the roof of the mouth, or swollen lymph nodes in your neck.
