Vibrant, historic and charming, Asheville is certainly one of the more ideal U.S. cities in which to live. However, just like all cities, vibrant and charming or not, you can get sick in this charismatic mountain town just as easily as you can catch a bug in New York or the flu in L.A.
We know this, which is why we have made sure that many of our pharmacies now house a MinuteClinic®. You can find your Asheville MinuteClinic® located conveniently inside the CVS Pharmacy® at the corner of Merrimon Avenue and Edgewood Road. We're right across the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center on one side and the delicious The Hop Ice Cream Café on the other.
Keeping residents comfortable in sickness and in health
The healthcare professionals who work behind the counter at our MinuteClinic® are no different than those who work behind the window at your family doctor's office or at the local hospital. They're caring, compassionate and have one goal: to keep you and the community of Asheville healthy. We do this by offering routine physical and well-checks to anyone who either needs a physical or who merely wants to obtain a gauge of where their health stands.
We also perform blood pressure and cholesterol checks and, if your readings are high, can advise you on what you need to do to lower them.
That said, there is still a probability that you will catch some bug throughout the year. If you do, you can count on our team to diagnose and treat you, and to send you home with the necessary instructions for regaining good health. Some common ailments we treat include the following:
- Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
- Ear infections
- Upper respiratory and sinus infections
- Eczema
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Mononucleosis
- Pink eye
- Pertussis
- Heartburn and indigestion
Preventing illness whenever possible
Oftentimes, routine well-checks and healthy habits are not enough to prevent aggressive disease. In some cases, the only true effective preventative measure is a vaccine. Our professionals within our MinuteClinic® are certified to administer common immunizations such as MMR, Tdap, polio, meningitis, HPV and, of course, the flu.
While we encourage everyone who is able to get all the recommended vaccinations, we cannot stress enough the importance of getting the flu vaccine. If you and your loved ones are healthy and over the age of 18 months, you all should get the annual flu vaccine at the start of flu season. Though not 100 percent effective, the vaccine can help fight the virus, minimize uncomfortable symptoms such as fever, body aches and chills and prevent complications, such as pneumonia. Call us at 1-866-389-2727 to see if we still have the vaccine available.
Visit our clinic today

We can get you in and out in the time it takes to grab a few items and check out. If you're not from the area or don't know where we're located, ask Google to "locate a walk in clinic near me" and follow the step-by-step driving directions. "
