I went in with a 2x3 inch injury to my arm. They cleaned the wound, and bandage it. They also showed me what I needed to take care of the wound and explained how to do it. I greatly appreciated the care.

I was coming in for a simple TB placement and read out. The first clinic closest to me closed and rescheduled my appointment. I happened to be near the second clinic before my appointment and tried to do a quick walk-in. That clinic was then also closed. I arrived at the third clinic to see if I could get a walk-in appt for this very quick negative TB read, and the NP did not come out of the empty exam room for 30 mins. She finally asked if I had a question and said she would do the read appt. I wouldn't recommend these clinics as walk-ins at all. As a CVS stockholder, I found this experience very disappointing.

I would never go back to this CVS Minute Clinic! The process was not easy and the NP was unpleasant and contentious about everything. He said I have to have a written prescription for my B12 injections every time I come to this facility! This is not what my dr. told me. She said that one precription for monthly injections should be sufficient. Overall, the unpleasant demeanor of the NP on duty would keep me from ever returning to the Knightdale, NC, CVS Minute Clinic.

I was able to be seen quickly in the minute clinic when my regular primary care doctor was booked solid for 2 days. I would have had to wait for medications - so thankful I was able to be seen. Not only was I able to get an appointment, but there was no wait time when I arrived, and I felt seen - she answered all my questions.

What is the difference between Strep Throat and a Sore Throat?

Having a sore throat and having strep throat are two separate things. Strep throat is an illness while having a sore throat may just be the cause of a virus. Some signs of strep throat may include escalated throat pain without a cough, swollen or red tonsils sometimes containing pus, pain when swallowing, fever, rash, nausea, dark red spots on the roof of the mouth, or swollen lymph nodes in your neck.
